Why this association
Berlin, Football, Charity
We decided to work with CHAMPIONS ohne GRENZEN because, as a football-crazy company from Berlin, we can identify very well with the purpose and therefore want to do our part.
Non-monetary support
In 2021 we would like to support the club in other ways - with energetic OneFootballers from our team. This could be programming the website or hosting a barbecue. We'll keep you up to date on this page.
How is the money used?
The association is solely responsible for using the money as long as it serves the overriding purpose. OneFootball has no influence on this.
The association introduces itself
Creating a welcoming culture through sport, encounters and networking
"The non-profit association CHoG - CHAMPIONS ohne GRENZEN e.V. from Berlin addresses refugees with open sports offers and contributes with its work to a sustainable welcoming culture in Germany.
We offer those affected by war, persecution and escape opportunities for joint activities and meaningful leisure activities. In addition to exercise, play and variety, we enable low-threshold social counseling and education, as well as encounters and exchanges.
Our open trainings are reliable anchor points in the lives of our participants. In a life situation that is characterized by isolation, cramped living conditions and uncertain prospects, refugees find help, new friendships, mutual understanding and solidarity with us.
Together with our cooperation partners, we are currently offering open training courses at four locations: for girls, adolescents and young adults, women and generally for adults.
Our offers are designed to be participatory - in our Start2Coach project, for example, refugees can learn to lead a training course themselves.
Each training is also framed by the NachSpielZeit project: trained specialists, volunteers and language mediators offer low-threshold social counseling, provide information about interesting new offers and organize joint activities. On request, we can also advise you individually and confidentially. And if we cannot help ourselves, we mediate, organize and accompany you to the Berlin help center.
In our NachSpielZeit PRO project, selected participants have the opportunity to acquire skills to promote employability.
We are active in many networks and, together with others, advocate less prejudice and more sensitivity towards people with a refugee background in the sports and leisure sector.
The year 2020 was very difficult for us - as for many others. Nevertheless, we managed to continue our trainings, some of them online, and to keep in touch with our participants. The open structure of our offers makes continuous and reliable relationship work necessary. We therefore hope that more personal encounters can take place again in 2021. "
